ABOUT ME

From rigid perfectionist to joyful mover

Growing up, I was active – not athletic. I was more worried about getting A’s than getting picked first in gym class.

As an Enneagram 1, my perfectionism followed me into college, where my workouts got more rigid, my meals perfectly planned, and my life had no room for spontaneity, connection, or joy.

Something needed to change. I needed help.

In January of 2016, I set one resolution — to not track my food for a month.

This small, brave choice began my eating disorder recovery. I started going to therapy, practicing intuitive eating, and teaching group fitness at Nashville’s only anti-diet gym.

Now, I teach folks across the country (and worldwide) to:

  • Listen to their bodies

  • Adjust exercises + even entire workouts

  • Challenge themselves to work hard AND to rest hard

  • Have fun and maybe make new friends :)

I believe:

  • Fitness doesn’t need to be complicated. Think drip coffee, not  15-step pour over.

  • Diet culture did us dirty. We need to learn what our body needs (sleep, food, movement, stress, hydration) + how it actually works.

  • You are an adult. You need to make your own informed, aligned choices – not me to micromanage or guilt-trip you.

  • Your weight is not a reflection of your health or your worth. Period.
